Fashion Technology Achievement
The Department of Fashion Technology, Kamaraj Women’s College, Thoothukudi, proudly celebrates the achievement of its second-year students who secured Second Prizes in Wall Painting and Face Painting competitions conducted by JCI Pearl City Thoothukudi on 11 and 12 August 2026. The competitions provided students with an opportunity to showcase their artistic talent, creativity and presentation skills. Moreover, the students represented the college with confidence and brought recognition to the institution through their impressive performances.

Second Prize in Wall Painting Competition

Second-year Fashion Technology students participated in the Wall Painting Competition conducted by JCI Pearl City Thoothukudi at Sivathagulam School on 11 August 2026. The prize-winning team consisted of:
  • R. Shanmuga Priya
  • V. Jeeva
  • L. Lowra Joy
  • S. Umaya Jyothi
The students demonstrated their creativity and artistic abilities through their wall painting. Their coordinated effort, visual presentation and creative expression earned them the Second Prize in the competition. Furthermore, the competition gave them practical exposure to large-scale artistic work and encouraged them to transform their creative ideas into visually appealing designs.

Second Prize in Face Painting Competition

Students of the Department of Fashion Technology also participated in the Face Painting Competition conducted by JCI Pearl City Thoothukudi at ASKR Mahal on 12 August 2026. The participants were:

  • M. Thanalakshmi
They showcased their artistic talent through creative face painting and secured the Second Prize. The competition required imagination, colour coordination, precision and effective use of artistic techniques. As a result, the students gained valuable experience in applying their creative abilities in a competitive environment.

The Fashion Technology Achievement demonstrates the students’ ability to apply their creativity beyond regular academic activities. Participation in competitions such as wall painting and face painting allows students to explore different forms of visual art.
