The Department of Tamil at Kamaraj Women’s College was established in 2021 with a vision to preserve and promote the profound heritage of Tamil language and literature. Since its inception, the department has remained steadfast in its mission to foster a deep appreciation for both classical and modern Tamil texts, while nurturing students’ skills in creative writing, critical thinking, and linguistic exploration.

The department is supported by a team of 4 dedicated faculty members under the self-supporting stream.
