44th CHESS OLYMPIAD – JULY 2022 — CHESS AWARENESS PROGRAM

The Kamaraj women’s college conducted a chess awareness program on 20th July 2022, at 10.00 am. The program was inaugurated by the commissioner of Thoothukudi corporation, Mrs. J. Charusree, IAS. Mega coins were displayed for public view at the entrance of the Kamaraj Women’s College. The public, school students, college students, college professors, and chess players participated in the program. Arbiters were also present at the event. The chief guest was honored with a memento by the principal Dr. M. Vanmathi. Prizes were distributed to the participants by the chief guest. Participants were from Thoothukudi itself. The program was conducted according to the “blitz” system (5mins) organized by Kamaraj Women’s College management with the help of the Thoothukudi District Chess Association (TDCA).
