On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, the NSS Unit No. 248 of Kamaraj Women’s College, Thoothukudi, organized a pledge-taking ceremony to raise awareness about environmental protection. Staff members actively participated and took a pledge to avoid single-use plastics in their daily lives, to carry their own bags, bottles, and containers, and to reduce, reuse, and recycle plastic responsibly. The theme for World Environment Day 2025, as highlighted by Mr. Chandran, is “Putting an End to Plastic Pollution.” This initiative reflects the college’s continued commitment to promoting sustainable practices and environmental responsibility among its faculty and students.
