Unnati Valedictory Function

Unnati Valedictory Function Empowers Final-Year Students

Kamaraj Women’s College is proud to share the success of the Unnati Valedictory Function organized by the Placement and Training Cell on 1st August 2025. The function was held in the college’s Seminar Hall and was attended by enthusiastic students, dedicated faculty members, and our honored guest, Mrs. S. Indhu, a Change Maker associated with CapitaLand Hope Foundation.

This valedictory event marked the conclusion of a 30-day intensive training programme that aimed at empowering our final-year students with key life and communication skills.

A Warm Beginning to a Meaningful Conclusion

Unnati Valedictory Function began with the College Prayer Song, setting a serene and respectful tone. The faculty members of the Placement and Training Cell welcomed everyone warmly and introduced the purpose of the Unnati initiative. The students, who had participated consistently for 30 days, were visibly proud and excited to share their experiences.

The Resource Person Behind the Programme

Mrs. S. Indhu, the driving force behind this initiative, has been actively involved in student development through her work at the CapitaLand Hope Foundation. Her team generously sponsored the entire 30-day programme, aiming to create confident, communicative, and self-aware young women ready for their careers and further studies.

During the valedictory function, Mrs. Indhu addressed the audience and encouraged the students to believe in their abilities, make use of every opportunity, and never stop learning. Her inspirational words were met with applause and gratitude from the participants.

Unnati – A Journey of Skill Building

The Unnati programme was conducted over the course of 30 days, focusing on areas such as:

Effective verbal and non-verbal communication

Public speaking and confidence building

Interpersonal skills and teamwork

Career readiness and mock interviews

Time management and personal discipline

All 96 third-year students from various departments took part in this training. Many of them had no prior experience with formal communication training, and by the end of the program, they reported noticeable improvements in their confidence and clarity of expression.

Students Share Their Experiences

During the event, selected students came forward to share their journey and transformation. They expressed how Unnati helped them overcome their fear of speaking in public, taught them how to interact professionally, and prepared them for the challenges of the corporate world.

One student shared, “Before Unnati, I was always nervous to speak in front of others. But now, I can stand with confidence and express myself clearly. I thank Mrs. Indhu and our college for this opportunity.”

A Proud Moment for Kamaraj Women’s College

The Unnati Valedictory Function was more than just a formal closure. It was a moment of pride for the entire college. The Placement Cell faculty members praised the students for their commitment and progress, and appreciated the contribution of the CapitaLand Hope Foundation in enabling this transformation.

Certificates of participation were distributed to all 96 students, and special recognition was given to those who consistently performed and showed growth throughout the programme.

Future Plans and Gratitude

The Placement and Training Cell of Kamaraj Women’s College is committed to creating more such meaningful collaborations in the future. The college administration expressed interest in extending Unnati-style workshops to second-year students in the coming semesters.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by group photos and cheerful goodbyes. Students left the hall not only with certificates in their hands but also with confidence in their hearts.

Closing Thoughts

The Unnati Valedictory Function stands as a shining example of how student-centric training can bring about real change. The 30-day programme has successfully planted the seeds of self-belief, communication, and clarity in the minds of our final-year students. We thank Mrs. S. Indhu and the CapitaLand Hope Foundation for their valuable contribution toward shaping the future of our young women.
