Special Camp for PAN Card Application and Correction | Kamaraj Women’s College – NSS

NSS Unit No. 248 of Kamaraj Women’s College successfully conducted a Special Camp for PAN Card Application and Correction on 22nd July 2025 at 10:30 a.m.. The camp aimed to raise awareness about the importance of owning a Permanent Account Number (PAN) card and to provide hands-on support to students in applying for new PAN cards or correcting existing details.

The session was led by Mr. M. Rajendran, Customer Service Manager (CSM) from LIC Cards Services, who served as the resource person. With his vast experience and clear explanations, he guided the students through the significance, uses, and benefits of holding a PAN card, especially in financial and government transactions. He also demonstrated the correct procedure for filling out the PAN card application form, ensuring that students could complete their applications without errors.

The event was smoothly coordinated by Ms. P. Aruna Devi, who managed the arrangements and ensured a seamless experience for all participants. Dr. Vanmathi, with her inspiring and motivating presence, felicitated the event and encouraged students to take proactive steps in fulfilling their civic responsibilities.

The response from the students was overwhelmingly positive. A total of 135 students actively participated in the camp. Out of them, 50 students successfully submitted their applications for new PAN cards during the session, marking a significant achievement for the NSS unit’s outreach efforts.

This initiative reinforced the commitment of Kamaraj Women’s College to not only provide academic excellence but also to equip students with essential life skills and administrative knowledge.
