Micro Marvel Day Celebration

The Department of Microbiology, Kamaraj Women’s College, organized the Micro Marvel Day Celebration on 18th September 2025 to mark International Microorganisms Day. The event blended science, creativity, and teamwork. Students from Microbiology, B.Com, B.Com (BF), and Fashion Technology departments participated in competitions such as Vegetable Carving, Drawing, and Quiz. The celebration began at 9:30 a.m. with a prayer song presented by students of the Microbiology department.

Welcome Address

Mrs. Grace Pradeepa Vaz, Staff Coordinator, extended a warm welcome to the audience. She explained the purpose of Micro Marvel Day Celebration and highlighted the importance of microorganisms in sustaining life and driving innovation. Her thoughtful words encouraged the participants to view microbes with deeper curiosity.

Presidential Address

Dr. M. Vanmathi, Principal of Kamaraj Women’s College, delivered the Presidential Address. She praised the Almeida Microbiology Association for successfully creating an event that combined science with creativity. She also encouraged students to explore interdisciplinary opportunities where knowledge and artistic talent come together.

Special Address

Mr. R. Muthuselvam, Correspondent, delivered the Special Address. He commended the management, staff, and students for organizing the Micro Marvel Day Celebration.
