INTERNATIONAL MICROORGANISM DAY CELEBRATION

Kamaraj Women’s College organized the inaugural function of International Microorganism Day celebrations in the Department of Microbiology on 17.09.2022. Its valedictory function was conducted on 22.09.2022 at 2:30 pm in our seminar hall. Notably, Microorganism is omnipresent. Therefore, this day is being celebrated worldwide. We celebrated this day under the Literacy Mission of Microbiology in Schools and Colleges with the support of the Federation of European Microbiology Societies and Microbiologist Society, India. National-level Online competitions were conducted with 144 participants throughout our country. Awards and certificates were issued for the winners of the events like Poster Presentations, Drawing, Essay Writing and E-Quiz by our Honorable chief guest Dr.J.Poongodi. She made this event a grand success with her informative speech on the need for research and innovations in the prospects of this microbial world with encouraging and aspiring notes for all the participants in their future endeavors.
