The event was organized by the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board in collaboration with the KWC Nature Club. The programme aimed to raise awareness about air pollution, highlight its harmful effects, and motivate students to adopt eco-friendly practices. It also stressed the responsibility of every individual in protecting the environment for a healthier future.

Welcome Address

The programme began with a warm welcome by P. Mukundhana of I B.Sc. Microbiology. She expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their active participation. Her address set a positive tone, emphasizing the value of collective responsibility in conserving clean air.

Dignitaries on the Dias

The event was honored by the presence of respected dignitaries. Dr. M. Vanmathi, Principal of Kamaraj Women’s College, guided the proceedings with her vision for student involvement in environmental awareness. Mr. R. Muthuselvam, Correspondent of Kamaraj Women’s College, encouraged the participants with his inspiring presence. The Chief Guest, Er. S. V. Kalaivani, M.Tech, District Environmental Engineer of the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, along with Mr. Murali and Mr. Pradeep Pandian, Assistant Engineers, enriched the gathering with their expertise. The programme was also supported by Mrs. S. Jamesammal, Staff Co-ordinator from the Department of Microbiology, and Mrs. S. Menaka, Staff Co-ordinator from the Department of Commerce. Student coordinators P. Santhana Selvi (II MB), K. Mukil Chithra (II MB), and R. Kaviyasri (I B.Com B/F) also played key roles in organizing the event.
