On the occasion of
International Day Against Drug Trafficking, the
Anti-Drug Club of Kamaraj Women’s College organized an awareness program on
26th June 2025 at the college Seminar Hall. The event featured a keynote address by
Mrs. Lingakani, Special Sub-Inspector, Child Protection Division, Tiruchendur. She spoke about the serious dangers of drug abuse, its impact on individuals and society, the importance of community participation in prevention efforts, and the vital role of youth in promoting a healthy lifestyle. Her speech was highly informative and well-received by the students. Around
100 students took part in this awareness program. As a part of the observance, the Anti-Drug Club also conducted
Drawing and Slogan Writing competitions on
25th June 2025, based on the theme
“Healthy Mind, Drug-Free Life.” Over
25 students participated in the competitions, and the winners were awarded prizes during the Anti-Drug Day celebration on
26th June 2025.
