Department of Commerce and Banking & Finance organized a Parents-Teachers Meeting on 18th June 2025 for the newly admitted first-year students. The session was presided over by Dr. M. Vanmathi, Principal of Kamaraj Women’s College, who addressed the gathering with an informative speech. She emphasized the importance of adhering to college rules and regulations, maintaining discipline, following the prescribed dress code, and respecting college timings. She also elaborated on the functions of the placement cell, various club activities, attendance procedures, and shared the college’s vision and mission. Following this, Dr. P. Aruna Devi, Head of the Department, delivered a detailed presentation on internal and external assessment procedures, seminars and workshops, the National Service Scheme (NSS), available scholarships, and certificate courses. She also briefed parents on upcoming educational tours, the parents’ WhatsApp group created for smooth communication, and industrial visits planned as part of the curriculum. An interactive session was held at the end, where parents actively participated by posing questions to both the Principal and the Head of the Department. Their queries were addressed with clarity, fostering a sense of trust and involvement. The meeting concluded on a positive note, with parents appreciating the transparent communication and the college’s commitment to student development.
