Fashion Technology Mentoring at KWC

The Fashion Technology Mentoring programme organized by the Department of Fashion Technology, Kamaraj Women’s College, Thoothukudi, was held on 31 August 2026 at 2.00 p.m. in the FT Classroom. The Mentor–Mentee Meeting provided individual academic guidance, reviewed student progress and addressed concerns related to studies, practical work and future career development.

Four staff mentors conducted individual interactions with their respective mentees. During the sessions, they reviewed academic performance, attendance, assignments, practical work and overall progress. Moreover, students received an opportunity to discuss their difficulties and seek suitable guidance.

Objectives of Fashion Technology Mentoring

The programme focused on the following objectives:

• Monitor the academic progress of students
• Provide individual academic and personal guidance

• Identify difficulties in theory and practical sessions

Individual interaction formed an important part of the meeting. Each of the four mentors met the students allotted to them and discussed their progress personally.

This approach helped students communicate their concerns freely. At the same time, mentors could understand the specific academic and personal needs of each student.
