NSS Organised by ‘Empowering the Future: Join the New Voter Registration Camp’
On December 5th and 6th, 2024, the NSS Unit No. 248 of Kamaraj Women’s College organized a significant initiative titled “Empowering the Future: Join the New Voter Registration Camp.” The camp was inaugurated by A. Santhanaraj, Senior Revenue Inspector, Election Section, Taluk Office, Thoothukudi. In his address, he highlighted the importance of voter registration, elaborated on the various forms involved, and emphasized linking Aadhar and PAN cards to ensure streamlined processes.
The camp, which benefited 327 students, was skilfully coordinated by Dr. P. Aruna Devi, NSS Program Officer. She provided hands-on guidance in filling out key election-related forms, including:
– Form 6 for new voter registration,
– Form 6B for linking Aadhar and PAN cards, and
– Form 7 for the deletion of names from existing rolls.
This inclusive event also extended its benefits to teaching and non-teaching staff members, ensuring widespread awareness and participation in electoral processes.
