INDUSTRIAL VISIT ICAR SCAD KRISHIVIGYAN KENDRA, VAGAIKULAM

Kamaraj Women’s College, Department of Microbiology organized an industrial visit to ICAR SCAD KRISHIVIGYAN KENDRA, Vagaikulam, Thoothukudi on 28.08.2024 to educate students about organic farming practices, sustainable agriculture, and environmental stewardship. 69 students participated in field visit. Dr.Masanaselvam ,Scientist(Agri) and Mr.Muthuselvam, Farm Representative introduced the concept of organic farming and its benefits. Students toured the farm, observing organic farming practices, such as crop rotation, composting, and integrated pest management. Students asked questions and engaged in discussions on organic farming and sustainability. The visits aid the students in understanding the concepts in preferred fields.
