YOUTH RED CROSS
The Youth Red Cross (YRC) is one of the most vital and dynamic components of the Indian Red Cross Society. It is a student-led movement that aims to instill humanitarian values and promote social responsibility among young individuals, particularly those in the age group of 18 to 25 years. Our college actively supports and encourages the activities of the YRC, recognizing its role in shaping compassionate and service-minded citizens.
The primary objectives of the Youth Red Cross are to develop leadership qualities in students, to foster a spirit of service, empathy, and civic responsibility, and to cultivate a strong commitment to community welfare. The YRC also plays a significant role in promoting health and safety awareness through regular first aid training programs, health camps, and emergency response workshops.
Volunteers are actively involved in a wide range of initiatives including blood donation drives, disaster preparedness activities, and community outreach programs. These experiences not only enhance the personal and social development of students but also prepare them to act responsibly and effectively in times of need.
Students who wish to be a part of this noble initiative are encouraged to get in touch with the respective Program Officer for enrolment and further details. Being a YRC volunteer is a rewarding experience that offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while building valuable life skills.
