Awareness Rally on Protect, Educate and Empower ‘Ensuring a Brighter Future for Girls’

Kamaraj Women’s College’s National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit No. 248 and the Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, jointly organized the “Protect, Educate, and Empower: Ensuring a Brighter Future for Girls” awareness rally on 19th September 2024. The rally was inaugurated by Thiru. K. Elambahavath, I.A.S, Collector, Thoothukudi, and Smt. Geetha Jeevan, Minister for Social Welfare and Women Empowerment, who flagged off the event. A total of 120 students participated in the rally. The Police Department provided security, and the Traffic Police Department regulated road traffic to support the event. The rally was coordinated by NSS Program Officer, Dr. P. Aruna Devi. The participants advocated the messages: “Save a Girl to Save Tomorrow,” “Save the Girl Child, Save Future Generations,” and “Save the Girl Child, Save Life on Earth.”
