Report on BBA School Extension Activity at Fatima School

The BBA School Extension activity organized by the Department of Business Administration, Kamaraj Women’s College, Thoothukudi, was held at Fatima School on 28 August 2026 from 2.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. The programme aimed to provide school students with an engaging and educational learning experience beyond their regular classroom activities.

The programme included interactive games, a General Knowledge Quiz, storytelling and student speech. Moreover, the activities encouraged active participation and created an enjoyable environment for learning and interaction.

Objectives of the BBA School Extension

The programme focused on the following objectives:

  • Provide an engaging learning experience for school students
  • Encourage active participation through interactive activities
  • Improve general awareness through a quiz
  • Promote learning through games and storytelling
  • Develop confidence and communication among students
  • Create an enjoyable learning environment beyond the classroom

Introduction to the Programme

The programme commenced with an Introduction by Sudharsha K., who introduced the purpose of the extension activity and prepared the school students for the sessions that followed.

The introduction created a friendly atmosphere and encouraged the students to participate actively. Furthermore, it helped establish good interaction between the college students and the school participants.

Interactive Learning Through Game 1

Following the introduction, Krishna Sharmila M. conducted Game 1.

The activity encouraged active involvement among the school students and created an energetic learning environment. Instead of limiting the programme to formal sessions, the inclusion of games helped students participate more freely.

Moreover, such interactive activities encouraged enthusiasm, teamwork and communication among the participants.

General Knowledge Quiz

A General Knowledge Quiz was conducted by Knowalluseela S. as an important educational component of the programme.

The quiz provided school students with an opportunity to test and improve their general awareness. It also encouraged them to think, recall information and respond actively to questions.

Furthermore, the interactive format made the learning process enjoyable. As a result, students were able to gain knowledge while participating in a friendly and engaging activity.

Game 2 and Student Engagement

Following the quiz, Sudharsha conducted Game 2.

The second game continued the interactive nature of the programme and encouraged students to participate with enthusiasm. In addition, the activity helped maintain a lively atmosphere throughout the session.

The combination of educational and recreational activities demonstrated that learning can take place through different methods. Therefore, the programme encouraged students to participate without hesitation and enjoy the overall learning experience.

Storytelling Session

Roobini presented a Storytelling Session as part of the BBA School Extension activity.

Storytelling provided a creative method of engaging young learners. It encouraged students to listen carefully and follow the flow of ideas presented through the story.

Moreover, storytelling can help develop listening, imagination, concentration and communication skills. The session therefore added a creative learning element to the programme.

Students’ Speech

The programme continued with a Students’ Speech delivered by Joyce D.

The speech provided another opportunity for meaningful interaction with the school students. Furthermore, it contributed to the educational nature of the programme and encouraged communication between the college students and young learners.

The various sessions together created a balanced programme that combined knowledge, interaction and creative engagement.

Feedback and Conclusion

Towards the end of the programme, Pradeepa conducted the Feedback Session.

The feedback provided an opportunity to understand the response of the participants and reflect on the overall programme. Following this, Joyce D. delivered the Conclusion and brought the activities to a close.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks to everyone who contributed to its successful conduct.

Active Participation and Teamwork

The BBA School Extension activity was successfully completed with the active participation and cooperation of school students, teachers, student coordinators and staff coordinators.

The school students participated enthusiastically in the games, quiz and other activities. Meanwhile, the college students gained practical experience in planning, coordinating and conducting activities for young learners.

The programme therefore provided a meaningful learning experience for both the school students and the participating BBA students.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

One of the important features of the programme was its focus on learning beyond the classroom.

The General Knowledge Quiz supported awareness and knowledge, while the games encouraged active participation. Similarly, the storytelling session provided a creative approach to learning.
