The Youth Red Cross Unit of Kamaraj Women’s College organized an informative Cancer Awareness Program on 17th October 2025 at 1:30 p.m. in the college seminar hall. The program aimed to educate students about cancer, its causes, prevention, and treatment methods through an expert-led session.
The event was held under the valuable guidance of Dr. M. Vanmathi, Principal of Kamaraj Women’s College, who encouraged students to become advocates of health and awareness in their communities. The session was conducted by Dr. K. S. Kirushna Kumar, MBBS, MD (Radiotherapy), Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Oncology Services, Radiation Oncology and Clinical Research at Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre. His expertise and experience made the program both educational and inspiring.

Ms. V. Jeeva warmly welcomed the audience and introduced the distinguished resource person. She also spoke about the vital role of students in raising awareness about cancer prevention and the significance of understanding health issues at an early age.
Presidential Address:
Principal Dr. M. Vanmathi delivered an inspiring presidential address.
