Guest Lecture on Microbiologists in Quality Assurance – Dept of Microbiology
The Department of Microbiology organized an engaging and insightful Guest Lecture on 21st July 2025 at the KWC Seminar Hall. The session, titled “Purview of a Microbiologist in Quality Assurance Unit”, was delivered by Mr. P. Rahul, an experienced Seafood Quality Control Technologist from Thoothukudi.
Mr. Rahul offered students and faculty a comprehensive understanding of the critical role microbiologists play in ensuring product safety and maintaining quality standards in various industries, particularly in the food and seafood sectors. He elaborated on the importance of quality assurance protocols, microbial testing procedures, and the real-time challenges encountered in the industry.
