Department of Fashion Technology
The Department of Fashion Technology at Kamaraj Women’s College began its academic journey in the year 2022 with the introduction of the undergraduate programme B.Sc. Fashion Technology under the Self-Financing Stream.
The programme is tailored to equip students with both creative and technical skills in the field of fashion and garment design. It offers an industry-relevant curriculum that blends core subjects such as textile science, fashion illustration, garment construction, fashion marketing, and computer-aided design (CAD). Emphasis is placed on both practical and theoretical aspects, preparing students to meet the evolving demands of the fashion industry.
The department is supported by a team of 4 dedicated faculty members under the self-supporting stream. The faculty members bring a blend of academic expertise and hands-on industry experience, ensuring that students receive well-rounded guidance and mentorship throughout their course.
