The Department of Commerce at Kamaraj Women’s College began its academic journey in the year 2021 with the introduction of the B.Com. (Bachelor of Commerce) programme under the self-financing stream. Following its successful launch and increasing student interest, the department expanded further by introducing the B.Com. (Banking and Finance) programme in 2022.
These programmes are designed to provide a strong foundation in commerce, accounting, finance, and banking, preparing students for careers in business, finance, government, and entrepreneurship. The curriculum blends theoretical knowledge with practical application to ensure students are industry-ready and academically competent.
The department is supported by a team of 8 dedicated faculty members under the self-supporting stream, along with a part-time legal advisor. This strong academic team ensures that the department consistently meets the educational and professional needs of its growing student community.
